Gavin Rush, a Texas attorney, allegedly attempted to shoot his ex-girlfriend at Anderson Mill Pub in Austin. Two customers tackled him, and he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence. However, he was soon released on bond, despite having been previously charged in a domestic violence case in 2017. He had also threatened to harm himself and his ex-girlfriend's new partner before the incident. Following the attack, Gavin Rush was fired from his law firm, and four days later, he was found dead. Police said that the circumstances of his death were not considered suspicious.
