The girl said her cousin threatened to cut her if she made any noise, and he admitted to the crime during interrogation. The boy will potentially be spending his life in prison, serving his time in an adult prison, and the crime will become part of his public criminal record. The Baltimore Child Abuse Center sees many cases of child abuse, and children who are victims of abuse are more likely to become perpetrators without proper treatment. Therapy is necessary for both the victim and offender.
