A Florida woman who breeds exotic French bulldogs became the target of an armed robbery after posting about puppies for sale on Instagram. Three males visited her home under the pretense of being interested buyers. However, she quickly realized they had ulterior motives when they claimed to know a friend of hers, whom she called to confirm their connection. As it turned out, the friend had not sent them, but they were already inside her home. The assailants then allegedly held her at gunpoint and stole two of the valuable puppies.
Refusing to let them get away, the woman grabbed a gun and chased after them. A shootout ensued, captured by a security camera. Despite one of the assailants putting her in a headlock with a gun to her head, she fought back and struggled with them, recognizing the grave danger she was in. Eventually, the thieves fled with the dogs, firing shots at the victim's home as they escaped.
Fortunately, the woman was unharmed. Two of the suspects, both 16 years old, were quickly apprehended, while the third remained at large. The captured individuals faced charges of armed robbery with a firearm and shooting into an occupied dwelling. Although two of the puppies were still missing, the woman's participation in the shootout resulted in no charges against her.
The traumatic experience led the woman to consider leaving her home due to fears of the third suspect returning before being caught. Nevertheless, her courageous actions during the robbery serve as a reminder of the importance of self-defense and the right to bear arms.
