Yūhi Kurenai, a genjutsu master, has often struggled in battles involving genjutsu. She was caught in her own Mangekyō–Kagami Sharingan while fighting Uchiha Itachi. Another time, she was embarrassingly tied up with vines during a mission.

Mei Terumi, the Fifth Mizukage, is a powerful ninja with two Kekkei Genkai abilities. She was rarely caught by enemies, except during the Infinite Tsukuyomi where she was turned into a puppet by Akatsuki member, Sasori. She also got tied up by the God Tree's roots during the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and her pitiful appearance was heartbreaking.

Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage, has had great luck in battles. She was never captured except during the Infinite Tsukuyomi, when she was saved by the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, from being tied up by the God Tree.

Hinata Hyuga, a member of the main character Naruto's family and his wife, has been captured multiple times due to her limited strength. She was once kidnapped by the Hidden Cloud Village's delegation, but was saved in time. Another time, she was captured by Iwagakure ninja who tied her up with special honey and placed her over a river. Hinata managed to break free and survive by using her chakra.

Shizune, Tsunade's loyal assistant, was captured by Pain's Human Path during his attack on the Hidden Leaf Village. Sadly, she died after having her soul extracted. She was later revived through Nagato's technique.

Shion Fūma, an original character in the anime, was targeted by a perverted puppeteer who aimed to control the Fūma clan through marriage. Shion was chased by the puppeteer's puppets, but was saved by Naruto in the end.

Karui, a member of the Hidden Cloud Village, once tried to kidnap Hinata. However, she was pursued by Asuma Sarutobi, who rescued Hinata.
