Jonathan Watson, a 41-year-old male inmate serving a life sentence for murder, confessed to beating two convicted child molesters to death with a walking cane in a California prison. He claimed that the prison officials had failed to take his warnings that he was close to getting violent seriously. Watson said that he tried to request a transfer as he feared that would attack an inmate, but his warnings fell on deaf ears. He said he ultimately decided to launch the attack when one of the child molesters began watching PBS Kids in front of other inmates and it left Watson sleepless. Despite the fact that Watson is a criminal himself, many people believe that his actions were justified given the heinous acts committed by the two child molesters.
