A teacher at Buddy Taylor Middle School in Florida was arrested and charged with battery after physically removing a disruptive 14-year-old student from his classroom. The student had been playing loud music on his laptop, which the teacher tried to mute several times before confiscating it. The student then used racial slurs against the teacher, who responded by physically carrying him out of the classroom. The incident was captured on video by a fellow student and led to the teacher's arrest. Despite admitting that his son was wrong for engaging aggressively with the teacher, the student's father pressed charges. The school reprimanded the teacher but did not specify previous disciplinary incidents.
