Jack Mook, a Pittsburg police detective and Army veteran, volunteered at a boxing gym where he formed a connection with brothers Joshua and Jessee. When the boys didn't show up for boxing class, Jack went to their home and discovered their dire living conditions. The brothers had suffered from neglect and abuse, sleeping on the floor covered in dog feces. Determined to help them, Jack obtained an emergency order to remove the boys from the home and eventually adopted them as his own sons. He has given them a loving home and a chance at a better future. Jack's selflessness and care have made a significant impact on the boys' lives.
