Judy Craymer, the creator and producer of the Mamma Mia! franchise, has hinted at the possibility of a third film in the series. In an interview with Deadline, Craymer revealed that a third movie musical is in the "earliest stages" and that she has come up with a way to bring back Meryl Streep as Donna.
Amanda Seyfried, the star of the movies, has previously expressed her willingness to participate in a third film. However, Seyfried did express concern about the availability of enough ABBA songs to create a new film. The original 2008 hit was based on the stage production of the same name.
